A beautiful tree, in solitary
granduer spreads out its
branches far and near,
It _ had been a landmark to lost
wayfarers ' for many _a long
,year;
And served��,,��as a safe guide for

of this monarch, inwardly did
gloat.
He determined it would make a
• perfect log boom;
A----- Soon it was sent crashing to
earth, by an axeman sealing.

Likea ship one can get attached
to a tree - " • "-
Weary migrating birds on its
• branches, find a • haven and
rest;'
And when nature ordains., it is
tinne to rest
We can hear joyful twittering; in
their" birdie way, a new home
will invest.
A bird watcher, with his glasses
will scan every visible part of
a tree;
For him ` it - is good
e tertainment; further more,
it is .free.
These, good people kindly
inform shut-ins and the stay:
at home
And are quick td spot a migrant,
who from its known route
has. strayed; •
And 'a full description of the
stranger is accurately
portrayed. •
He is a- true, sportsman, but his

It is carefully cartiedoilai with a

The passing time has wrought' a
great change in Education
But today it is - treated with
apathy, -
p y, bordering on
desecration.
Once it was' a privilege, and by
the' intelligent, was eagerly
• sought after; •
sympathy for ' the sadly ° great deal ' of bother and
distressed parents we see all
around
• Whose fond hopes • for their
offspring have been cruelly
dashed to the ground. -
Tune and space will not permit'
any further digressions -
But we grieve hourly for our
misguided youth and their
waavward transgressions,
disappointment connected with
the thing. • Frankly, it was
obvious from .the beginning that
the Youth Centre could not be
constantly supervised by adults
- seven nights a -Week -- without
some very great sacrifices onthe
part of some adults. -
I write this column before the

Centre program during the
