BELL .. , Baskets of ` green and orange tinted shasta daisies and white snapdragons graced lncel of Syndicate Avenu Baptist Church, Thunder Bay, South, for the wedding August 8 at which Linda Maureen Reedhead, Thunder Bay North and Norman James Bell, also of Thunder Bay North, exchanged vows and rings before Rev. J. Longley assisted , by Rev. Bert Birch. • The bride is the daughter' of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Reedhead, Thunder Bay North, and the groom's parents are.Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bell, Goderich. Soloist was_ Mrs. Dorothy. Shefield accompanied by Miss May Mouland at the organ. •. ,Given , in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of bridal satin with a straight skirt gathered softly into the high waistline and trimmed with a border of chantilly lace: The bodice was fitted and .had a set-in lacer yoke and lace rouching at the neckline centred with a miniature satin bow. The sleeves 'were straight and full-length, trimmed " with an applique of lace and edged with lace rouching. The back of the gown was complimented with a detachable train fastened at the waist. Her bouffant veil of silk illusion- with' scalloped edges was held by a forward headpiece: with petals of nylon tulle trimmed with iridescent , forget-me-nots and centred with pearl droplets... Her bouquet was green and orange tinted Shasta daisies and white roses. Maid df honor was Miss Audrey Ebel, Schuler, Alberta. She wore a full-length gown Alberta. frosted green nylon sateen with empire waistline,. A-line skirt and bell sleeves. The skirt and sleeves were trimmed with white daisy lace. .She carried a bouquet of green tinted shasta daisies and baby's,. breath. Miss Nancy Bell, sister of the' ' groom, Goderich, . and . Miss Lynne Wintermute, Thunder Bay North, wore frosted orange nylon sateen gowns styled identical to the maid of honor's gown. They carried bouquets of orange tinted shasta daisies and' baby's breath. Groomsman was Bill Mc}irdy, Thunder Bay North. Clayton Reedhead, brot1T r 'of the bride and Gordon Robinson, cousin of the .bride, both of Thunder Bay, ushered guests. The wedding reception was held_.at the Prince Arthur Hotel, Thunder Bay North. Lyle Robinson, uncle of the bride, proposed a toast .to the bride. The bride's mother received her guests in a 'long -Sleeved dress of deep .pink chiffon ,overlaid with lace, white accessories and a corsage of white sweetheart roses. The groom's mother assisted her in a honey coral crimplene coat and dress ensemble with white accessories and a corsage of white sweetheart roses. For travelling to Quebec and the Eastern United gtates, the bride . changed to a „beige and. brown suit of linen hopsacking with a , yellow blouse, white accessories and a corsage • of tinted shasta daisies. ' The young couple will reside in Thunder Bay North. _- Prior to her marriage, the bride was honored at three showers. ` Mrs. Lyle Robinson was hostess for a miscellaneous shower at her home; the women of Faith Chapel held a shower at the home' of Mrs. R. Zapfe; and Miss Faith Belait was hostess for a personal shower at her home. The groom's parents entertained following ' the rehearsal. • .A St. Matthew's Lutheran pel, Kitchener,was the scene ntly for the wedding at which Maureen Mary Calvert exchanged vows and,rings with James .. Donald McNaughton before Rev. T. T. Schaffer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold James Calvert, Kitchener, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James McNaughton, _Luckhow. To the tune of Trumpet Fare played by Harry Exrstadt, Kitchener, the bride" entered the church on the arm of her father. .She Wore a whitelace gown with a scooped neckline and .. "an empire bodice. The full sleeves were gathered at the elbow and there were ruffles at the neckline, hemline and trimming the sleeves. The gown extended at back into a slight train. Her "shoulder -length veil, was four tiers of silk illusion and was held in place by a headpiece of pink and white daisies. She carried a nosegay of pink and white roses, carnations, trailing ivy and streamers., Miss'":Colleen Calvert, sister of the bride, Kitchener, wore a shell pink sleeveless gown styled � alait .empire lines:: tte,pleated a,_ s. -bodice featured-awrolled chiffon collar. Douglas 'Landreth, Stratford and - Barry Craig, Hespeler, ushered guests: The reception was held at the Conestoga ' Motel, Kitchener, where round tables were centred. with pink carnations. The bride's mother, attended in a ''chiffon ' dress of various shades of pink styled along empire lines and featuring long sleeves„ gathered at .the wrist. Her accessories were white and she wore a deep pink feathered carnation corsage. Goderich, for her wedding day when she exchanged vows and rings with Raymond Charles Arlin, son of Mr. and ' Mrs. Clive Arlin, Auburn,, • in .a ceremony at St. Peter's . Church, Goderich, Saturday, August 1. Rev. Father Moynahan conducted taw ceremony amid standards of yellow and white gladioli and shasta daisies. ,Organist H. I-iendricka accompanied the soloist, J. Wedlock who sang 0 Perfect Love, Ave 'Maria and Edelweiss. The bride was escorted to the altar py, her father. Her gown was styled . with an empire waistline and the bodice was accented by a high round collar trimmed with Swiss guipure and chantilly lace. The A-line skirt -was decorated with alternating rows of Swiss guipure lace and ruffled chantilly lace which' also trimmed` the bottom edge of the skirt. The short, puffy sleeves were also trimmed with the combination of the "two exquisite laces. . Her beautiful chapel -length train draped gracefully from the mid -back to the floor and again was enhanced by rows of the two kinds of lace. She carried a Juliet bridal bouquet of yellow roses and stephanotis. Matron of honor liras Mrs. Pat Hodges, Goderich. Bridesmaids were Brenda Allin, Auburn and Kerry McLean and Sue. Dtgnin, both of Goderich., They were gowned alike in gowns of yellow nylon Swiss dot over taffeta' and 'carried baskets of yellow and white miniature carnations. They -wore white miniature carnations in their hair. - John Hodges, Goderich, was best man. Ushers were Wayne Arlin; Auburn; and Barry Pitblado and Jim Farrish, both of Goderich. The Wedding reception was at thee" Harbvdrlite-i1m -Goderich. The mother of the.bride wore a candy pink silk worsted dress, the short sleeves *id portrait neckline embroidered with tome -on -tone rhinestone beading and the skirt styled along A -lines. • She wore a matching beaded headpiece and accessories,, and a pink cymbidium orchid corsage. .The ' groom's' mother chose a blue dress of acetate and nylon Iace over 'rayon taffeta featuring a rounded'' neckline, white accessories and a . pink. cymbidium orchid corsage. .For travelling to Niagara Falls. and other points, ` :the; .'bride donned a white sleeveless dress, yellow flowered coat and to complete the ensemble, white accessories and a corsage . of yellow miniature carnations. The newlyweds are residing at 190 Picton Street, Goderich. Wedding congratulations itere received from Darry anfl Kiyoko Bacchler, Tokyo, Japan. Prior 'to her marriage, the bre was honored at a shower given by friends at the home of Mrs. Pat Hodges. She was also feted by co -hostesses Brenda and Mrs. Phyllis Arlin at.a shower in their home. .
