Someone starts to talk about LSD. Or Speed.
Or Heroin. Even Cocaine. And a long list of other
potential killers. Do`you jump in with your loose
opinion?'
Do' you know.what y,ourre doing?'
Someone asks you about the growing drug
problem. You reply.
Do you know what you're doing?
Someone you know tells you that "Turning on"
isthe key to life. It's the way to escape. To buck the,.
establishment. To be your own person. And you
start to think they may be right:
Do you know what you're doing?
We know that preaching about drugs to any one
of you, the youth; the -parents; the hip; or the unhip
is going to get one place fast. Nowhere. So we're not
preaching.
We also knoo that moralizing is blah; too.
So, no moralizingthere.
We do know some things. We know that hardly,
anyone other than scientists, doctors, or highly
.qualified pharmacists and other professional per-
sonnel really have any thorough knowledge about
drugs.
We know th t' drugs are going to be taken, tried,
tested and depended upon no matter how we feel
about it.
We knowlhat there is a great deal of illegal
money being made through drugs. And as long as
this - otive exists drugs will flourish.:
\v nd above all we know that you know, and it

drugs. What they're made from. How high they'll
take you. How low they'll let you down. How your
body fs affected. How your mind is affected. How
your children maybe. affected. How dependent you
can be. How quickly the.end comes.
We have written all the information about
nearly every drug we'know and we've put it in simple,
direct, easily understood terms. And we've put this
information into booklets. And We've put the book-
lets into almost every drug store in this Province.
Away from the cash register. (This means you don't
have to make a purchase ora big deal about wanting
to get -information). Just walk in. Take what you feel
You want to know. Walk out. Then read it,,,And read
it again. Again. And again..Read it until you
understand what that drug can do. Read it until you
find out what that drug can result in. Read it; until
you know.
If you read the booklets and you understand
them and you still want the drug, then it's your de-
cison and no° one`in the world can stop you: But you -
must proceed on the basis that you- know exactly
what you're doing.
If we've helped you to think more about drugs.
Or if we can help you understand what drugs are all
about,dien we've: accomplished what we've set out
to do. It's really all as simple as that.
Drug abuse information at your drug store.
Easy to pick up. A snap to read. A breeze to under-
stand. We think if you make the effort, it won't -be
very long before you know what you're doing.
And then, after that, no problem.
