One nice surprise Monday
morning was the hanging of
flower baskets around The
• Square - the gift of the Ladies
of the I.O.D.E. (Maple Leaf
Chapter). This is one of the nicer
ways of "doing something nice
for the community in which you
live." The basket i are made up
of very colorful,, long blooming
,4 flowers - red geraniums
predominating -- encased in
turnout, since we have a great
many visitors at this tine and
this is a real treat for visitors and
friends alike.
Sunday nights the band
concert in the West St. Park. I
hope you enjoyed the last one -
and those of you who missed it,
be sure to catch the one this
week.

I was happy to see a nice

Debbie Lyn. Donald Bert was
getting ready to repair and paint
and pa that fine little tug back
to work. Everything is really
humming at Sung Harbour.
And everything ,is humming
in Courthouse Park - and
especially the lower floor of the
Courthouse. Have you see the
displays the Horticulture Society
have set up for your viewing?
There is a lot of thought and
work displayed there as this is a
first for Western Ontario. The
idea .'for a Flower Festival, with
the theme being "Tourism in the
Goderich Area" has been picked
up from the Flower Festivals of
Great Britain and is gaining in
-popularity. Tourism . is a big
business in Goderich and you
will enjoy seeing the many facets
of it made by a numbet of
members of this popular
Hortieulture Group. They will
alsd have some outdoors
displays, so these will add to the
color of the Art Mart.
Be sure to come down often
as you will see things you missed
the time before and you have so
few days to enjoy this show.
