Camp. Borden and other relatives

Mr. and Mrs.' Art Stewart on
Saturday for the ahnuah
Richardsons• Reunion:- •'.
The afternoon was spent
swimming, playing ball and .
euchre with games and contests
as well. The oldest person
present was Mrs. Will StewIrt of
Auburn and the youngest -was
Andrew Reed of Stratford.
Those present were from such
places as► °etrgit and St. Clair
YAWL, (Minnesota and other parts
of the U.S., Lambeth, Corunna,
Stratford, Toronto, Lucknovit,
Dungannon, ` Goderich and
Auburn as well as other parts.
Those unable to attend were
very much missed.
,ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Art Stewart
receive(' many lovely gifts on the
occasion of their 40th
anniversary on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Stewart
and family of Lambeth spent the
weekend with Mr. ,and Ml's. Art
Stewart. ' On Sunday Mr, and
Mrs. Frank Ritchie of Lucknow;
visited. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Caesar
called in the evening on their
way home from- the

teachers saivd'ged the unused
sheets for future use). No one
worked especially hard, °U'but
nevertheless -- we worked!

school "was held outdoors near
the senior wing addition. The

for the4•sports played 'inside the.!
school, were given' their bars
here, and the winners for other
sports were • " presented with
plaques with which to remember
their standards.
We werrall given our report
cards, and by the students' faces
you could tell whether they held
good or bad news!.
Mrs. Ken Hodges a patient . ir1,
Wingham ° hospital had many
visitors on Sunday, the occasion
being her .birthday. On Friday
five lbs. traction was applied to
one leg,seven lbs. was applied
first but it was found to be too
much. It is to be hoped Beth will
be much improved very shortly.
SENIOR WING
The youth centre is now open
for those in Grade 8 or those
who have reached the age of 13.
I expect to see some people
there whom" I know, though
'many have gone out of town for
their vacation.
A while ago, a contest was,
held -to decide the best design
for the senior wing crest. Mr.
Smith mentioned - at the
assembly that Brenda Thompson
was the winner
As many Goderich residents'
know, the graduation for the
Grade 8 classes leaving our
• school was a week ago on June
25. Our program included the
banquet, exercises, and' dance,.
We listened to a talk by Mrs.
Wallace,' who represented . the
school board, . and ersjoyed „
Teresa Begeman's valedictory
address.
Congratulations are in order
for the award winners -•-- Teresa,;,
JoarX Schoenhals, Cathy Mclvor,
Patsy Shore, Allan Fritzley, and
Wanda Million.
Our speaker was the
.cartoonist "Ting", and he kept
us laughing with his drawings.
He said that we should be • glad
qur teachers were good sports,
but no one needed to tell us
' that! We, the •Grade 8 pupils,
appreciated the fact that our
,staff was such a friendly one and
we' all will miss them.a lot.
The graduating class realised
how • well the Grade , 7's
patronized our money -raising
schemes and we sincerely ho_ pe
that they are assisted as well by.
the pupils that will be in Grade 7
in September!

co-ordinator and farm
management specialist for the

Simeoe. He is located 'at the
Ontario Department of
Agriculture and. Food, Markdale.
Mr. Arnold is a native of
Carleton County. His father
served with the Canadian Forces
for 33 years until his retirement
in 1970. He received his Bachelor
.of Science Degree in Agricultural
Engineering .(Mechanical
Engineering option) in 1969 at
.the University of Guelph. He has
recently ,completed • studies
toward his Master of Science
Degree in • Agricultural
Engineering at . the same
University.
