week -as part of an exchange of young farmers • between.
Ontario and Britain. The exchange is sponsored by the Ontario
Junior Farmers. Mr. Fraser is, a member of the Scottish
Association of Young Farmers Clubs and on his home island
stocks Aberdeen Angus -Short Horn cross -cattle and says the
farmers there;.grow most of their own feed, of turnips, oats
and hay. For the crops, IittleJertilizer is used. He arrived in
Canada by air April 22 and will leave by sea on August 12.
Delegates are spending a week or two in each county of the
province to see as, wide a variety of farming methods, as

Watters wins second race
of Blue Water Sailing Club
The second race ofa the Blue
Water Sailing Club was one of
fair breezes and a fleet of nine%
boats starting. One dreipped out
early in the race and another ran
'as a .casualty to the freshening
breeze when hismast-top lifting
gear parted,. leaving -him without
a sail.
First' across the' finish line
were the two Fireballs .sailed by
-Bert Corbett and George
Robertson, respectively, _with
Paul Carroll, after leading the
field for the entire" two trips
around the mile long course
getting pipped at the post. Mark
Watters was next followed by

After allowing. ,for_ handicap,
however, the order of finish was'
Mark Watters in a Sunfish with a
corrected time of 38:47; Paul
Carroll, Sirocco, 39:13;. Bert
Corbett, Fireball, 40:04; George
Robertson, Fireball, 40:42; Russ
Gimmell, Petrel;' 49:15 and Pete
Collyer, Day Sadler, • 53:38. The
remainder of the fleet, consisting
. * of Ian Harper in a 'nine foot
dinghy, Jim Mulhern on a Buck,
Board (the casualty) and Murray
McGill, did not finish. Murray,
out for- the -first time, didn't
intend to enter but started with
the fleet anyway. We hope to see
him back next week.
