review this tricky subject.
Tawny Owl took advantage of

badges. In fact these girls spent
most of their meeting time at it.
Meanwhile back in the corner
Mrs. Kloss was still
knitting The group is getting

,With todars high cost of
living,.sewing is one Of the ways
open to the homemaker to save
a great deal of money. Making
something for the home, your

and altering your present
clothing, of course, is the biggest

Regardless of your size, figure
taste, there is only a limited

One of the most common
problerns for the home sewer is
spac. If your kitchen table is
your sewing area, look around
And see if there isn't some other
• possibility. It is very difficult to
set up an' efficient working place
between meals, -children and
husbands.
The ideal place would be a
• sewing room 9f your own. As"
this is out of the question in
most homes, the next best
*emotive, is a . corner where
your sewing 'machine and °other
tools could be left open, from
one sitting td the next. Plenty of
light should be available, so tired
'eyes do not take, their toll.
• Using a straight back chair
when 'sewing will allow freedoin
of movement for your arms and
body. Your pressing . board and
other sewing needs should be
411
grouped ,close at band. If your
time is Spent searching for what
you need all oyer the house,
your sewing pleasure and
patience will rapidly diminish. ,
Next week, I will list the
different sewing accessories and
their uses.It could well be that
some of your problems in sewing
kir finishing, might stem from
lack of the right' tool for any
job. .
• As this column is in the paper

you have 'aiy problems.

you out. If you have any
