Mrs. Haines played an organ
solo -- three favorite Easter
hymns.
The guest speaker of the
afternoon was Mrs. John Pollock
of Goderich, Huron Presbyterial
President.
She chose for her 'theme "No
Changes in a Changing 'World."
She commenced by relating
the changes in styles as to dress
stating that the mini, the midi
and the maxi were not newt, as
we had those styles all back in
the early 20's and ding the
First World War when women in
the army wore long, ankle -length
coats. • ,
She spoke of the great
advancement in scienee like
man's trip to the moon.
She asked all to take an
inventory willow we worked for

challenged all tohave faith and
trust and to -believe in Christ,
She said true success will then be
accomplished in our lives.

FAREWELL PARTY
Over 60 neighbors gathered' at

Saturday evening for a farewell

Carter' and Miss Barbara Carter. `
The party was convened by
Mrs. Emmerson Rodgers and
cards were played followed by

Funeral service was held at
the Arthur Funeral Home for
Ralph J. McPhee,. on • Thursday:'
March .12. Pastor'• Alfred Fry
conducted the service.
Mr. McPhee was born in.
Colborne Township,
son of the
late John McPhee and Ellen
Mcllwain and was in his 70th
year. He passed away in Victoria
Hospital, London after an illness
of 27 years.
He is survived by one sister,
Mrs. John (Laura) Jackson,
Woodstock; and two brothers,
Clifford of RR 3, Auburn an''
'David of Vermillion, Alberta.
Burial took place in Colborne
Township Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Harold Jackson, - Orval
McPhee, Harvey McPhee, James
McPhee, Dan McPhee and Bob
McPhee.

A St. Thomas man set a record for Maitland .Lodge, No.: 33 last week when he was presented with
a 60 year Masonic jewel Brother M. Cornelius 'Moore, a former Auburn resident, has maintained;'
his. membership in the local lodge since moving out of the area. The presentation was the first of a
60 year jewel in the history of the lodge. Left to right are Worshipful Brother. J. Howard Aitken,
