hind passed Helmut Krohmer was
elected to act as alternate parish
representative to Mr. Buchanan,
who IS the regular parish
'representative.
The second letter was with
regard to a work shop to be held
in London on Saturday, March •
14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On a
poll of the members the
secretary.was requested to advise
the chairman officer of religious-
education at London that it
anticipated 12 members would
be attending from our council
advisory board. •
The .: various committee
chairmen presented , their
reports: Mrs. Palmer and her
committee are holding a meeting.
on March 3 to finalize plans for
a wine and cheese party, the;
• date of which has been
;'tentatively set for April'24.'
• Mrs. Muriel' Murphy reported
for the spiritual committee with
regard to lay. readers,. ushers
group, ' folk masses, etc. Also
they are requesting that a notice
be published in the • church
bt lletin regarding reserving two
rows of seats at the rear of the
Church. for people with small
'children. -
Father Moynahan introduced
Father Hudson, of the order of
Holy Ghost Fathers, who spoke
to. • the group 'on the missions in'
n general and gave a .very
enlightening talk on the
situation in the missions;
particularly in South America
and Biafra. •Also he answered
questions., relating to parish
retreats and expressed the -
thought that a „twilight retreat •
-would possibly be the best one
for us. More about this later
'When a tentative date will be
decided upon. >.
Helmut Krohmer reported on
the activities of the Youth
Group, who are holding a-?
spaghetti 'supper in 'the Parish
Hall on Sunday, February 22.
-Plans are also being formulated
for a,.coffee. house for the young
people• , •
Mrs:- Moira Evans reported on
the Homemaker's Service, ,
County Couficil has given their
approval in principal. The matter
is progressing slowly.
Father Moynahan brought to
the attention of the board that
as 'Confirmation -would be held
in Goderich, in June, it' was
imperative that the remodelling
of the sanctuary and altars and
redecorating of the church be,
completed before that time. The
matter was" referred to Pete
McCauley and his committee to
secure rough plans, etc., to meet
with • the architects from
London, who, have done the
work on several churches' in the •
diocese and -who should be able
to do a good job. Then he would
report back and plans and
estimates would be submitted at
a special meeting as soon ,as
possible. .
The date Of the next -advisory
board meeting was .set for
Monday, April 13•,' at- 8 p'.m. in
the Parish Hall.

newly formed Goderich
Snowmobile Club was held
Tuesday evening at Argyle
Marine. Membership now totals

This- Friday at 7 p.m. the
group will meet at Argyle Marine
for a "run -out" to Auburn.
Drivers are asked to bring their
families — and a lunch.
The group hopes to contact
other clubs" in the near',future
and discuss plans for club
activities.
The club agreed to have
members lend a hand at the
Goderich Winter Carnival this
Saturday, February 21 and
Sunday, February ,22 at
Agricultural Park.
