teams were all victorious in.

The Senior boys won 70-58,
and the Junior .boys 38-15
playing at. home. The Junior and
Senior girls won in Listowel by
scores . of 54-23 and 39-28
respectiwvely
The Senior boys came up
with a strong team' effort, with
four players hitting- in double
figures, and seven of the ten who
played getting on the scoresheet.
The Vikings fell" behind 12-1 .in
the early., going but carhe "back
steadily to overcome the deficit
against'. the much taller Listowel
team. Two of the Vikings big
men, Jon Ginn and Warren Watt

The Junior boys led •all the
way in 'their game, holding a
17-8 half-time lead enroute to
their 38-15 win.

paced the scoring parade. The
'victory evened the team record
' at 3-3 and Solidified Goderich's
hold on ' 4th place -41n the

have been studying community
helpers. They read a story on
different helpers -and then got
down to work and ' painted a
picture of . these different
helpers.
Ih grades one to • four the
pupils had a • floride dental
check-up. Each pupil received a
toothbrush and toothpaste.

doing a project on Hur-onia:
Each pupil had to write an essay
and do a project.
The whole school has been
doings project also. •
Monday; February 2 an open
• house is programmed • to take
place, All pupita of St. Mary's
are allowed to attend.
Public speaking has also come
up again. ' There were nine
contestants and ' two were
chosen: Patrick Conlon and
Christine Willigin. Good luck to
