Calvary carollers
About 40 members of Calvary
Baptist Church climbed aboard a
big . bus Friday evening and set
out carolling through the streets
of Goderich.
The loud speaker system
aboard the bus was working well
and the singers were quite
audible above the hustle and
bustle of shoppers on the Square
that evening.
The singers also visited
Maitland Manor and Goderich
Nursing Home where they
entertained the residents.
At Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital, the carollers
strolled through the halls singing
their Christmas message and also
sang over the public address
system at the hospital for all
patients to hear. Rev. K. Knight
took time out to speak a few,
words to everyone., wishing them
well.
Aboard the bus again, the
Calvary carollers drove to the
homes of some shut-ins and
favored them with Christmas
music.
At one point in the evening,
bus . and crew were bogged down
in a deep snowdrift out in the
southwest corner of town!
About 9:30 the group
returned to the church on
Bayfield Rd. to enjoy warm
refreshments.

celebration was
