I saw one of the nicest things
happening last Wednesday
evening.
Board members of the CNIB
for Huron County staged a
dinner and program at Victoria
St. United Church for the- 80 or
so blind people there are in this
county. Only about 35 were able
to be present.
I've seen appreciative
audiences before but I can't
- remember ever witnessing a
group of people so unanimously
agreed that this was the best fun
they had had in a long time.
Mrs. Lee McCallum, one of
the performers on the program,
noticed it too. She told her
audience that it was the
• greatest compliment a singer
could receive when she felt her
listeners were "in the palm of
my hand."
Co-ordinator for the evening
was Mrs. Clayton Edward and
her committee. They deserve a
rousing vote of thanks from
's every blind and sighted person in
the district. What a morale
booster that evening was for
everyone connected with it!
There was something for
every taste.
