great privilege to serve as
chairman of the former board
and a great honor to be able to
attend the opening ceremonies.
Mr. Lavis: suggested the
former board deserved the credit
for the new addition recalling
the only work he had done
toward it had been to sign the
contract. '
He paid tribute to the
members of the former Goderich
Public School Board and asked
for all former members present
to stand. He noted that Mrs. J.
W. Wallace, a former member of
the board was also a member of
the Huron County Board of
Education.
Mr. Lavis • congratulated
principal Ralph Smith and his
staff and said it was a great
privilege for him to take part in
the ceremonies.
Two senior wing students,
Carla Elliott and Kim Jeffrey,
were asked to hold the ribbon
