Although many women at the bazaar and tea purchased tickets on the quilt it was a man who was lucky enough to have his name drawn. Cliff Bates was the winner of this handmade beauty. • The nearly new book table was a hive of activity Saturday afternoon at the CWL Christmas Fair. Miss Helen McCarthy poured tea Saturday afternoon at the CWL Christmas Fair held in the parish hall of St. Peter's Church. One of the waitresses, Betty Bedard, who worked in the tea room, waits for a cup of tea for a customer. Decorations at the tea were very festive. This tea table was spread with a sparkling white linen cloth, centred with an attractive arrangement of poinsettias and set with gleaming silver tea pots, coffee pots and trays. Lovely prizes Listwinners of Penny Fair A steady 'snowfall made the CWI, Christmas fair that much more Christmasy Saturday afternoon and a., large crowd of interested women entered St. Peter's Parish Hall for the event. Mrs. Richard Buchanan, president of the CWL, greeted the guests and invited them to shop at the well -stocked booths and enjoy refreshments in the tearoom ' where Mrs. Percy LeBlanc was convener: Other conveners were: fancy work, Mrs. A.
