Remembrance Da
The final wreaths placed at the cenotaph during the annual Remembrance Day service on Tuesday
were placed by the president of the Royal Canadian Lagion, branch 109. and the president of the
Women's Auxiliary. •
Dr. G. F. Mills, Goderich mayor, laid•the wreath on behalf of the town and Goderich Reeve Harry
Worsell represented the County of Huron at the annual Remembrarfce Day service at the Goderich
cenotaph Tuesday morning.
Representatives from Goderich and Colborne Township, along with children from Colborne
Central School, placed wreaths at the cenotaph during the annual Remembrance Day service, held
Tuesday of this week.

The Legion rnembers and members of the Legion Ladies
Auxiliary formed up across the Court 'House Park in front of the
cenotaph with the Legion color party advanced. The colors were
The Last Post was sounded at the stroke of 11 a.m. Tuesday
and two minutes silence 013;e it -a for the men and women who
lost their lives in two world wars. Goderich Town Band
supplied the°trumpe'terd
lowered during the Last Post and again for the National Anthem.
Rev. G. L. Royal conducted the service.
The annual. Remembrance Day service was held at the Cenotaph on Tuesday with the largest
attendance in recent years. Mrs. Rose Hill laid the wreath for the province on behalf of the Silver
Cross mothers.
Representatives from Goderich service clubs, women's organizations and Girl Guide Companies
were present to place wreaths at the, cenotaph on Tuesday when the annual Remembrance Day
service was held.

A notable. increase in the attendance of children at the
Remembrance Day service Tuesday was evident as children
from Goderich and area schools flocked to the cenotaph for
the service. Wreaths were also placed by schools.
4 -"All Goderich service clubs were represented Tuesday for the Remembrance Day service held at the
cenotaph in Court House Park. A young soccer Mayer laid the wreath for the Lions Club.
