Russ Gemmill has a high triple of 892 and a high average of 256; Mrs. Marilyn Bannister a high triple of 805 and a high average of 233 and Jim McWhinney rolled a high single of 408. Council did give approval for the special committee on regional government to be disbanded. In its place, a working'committee.consisting of the elected members from the Huron County Planning Board will be established and will be Kin Korner The regular meeting of the Goderich Kinsmen Club was held at the Harbourlite Inn on October 20 with president Ray Cook in the chair. It was decided to support the Children's Aid Society Christmas co-ordinating committee and to leave assistance for the Goderic Community Safety Council up to the town council. ' A turkey raffle will' be held on Friday, December 5 at the arena. Robert Baechler and Bill Lougheed were nominated as 'directors. The past presidents' night was "held and is reported to have beenr successful. Past 'resident Bert Such was guest speaker, and deputy governor, Bill Lawless was special guest. At least 14 new members are required if the club is to meet its expansion quota. It Bruce plans (Continued from page one) construction and operation covering several Years, it has. been felt essential to ensure that ° the large and variable body of workers employed in the construction of the. Bruce Nuclear Station itself will -not be restricted by such safety precautions that have to be taken in the immediate area of the Heavy Water Plant. Drilling is now taking place to determine the new site for the Bruce Generating Station. In the meantime, temporary lay-offs of some . construction workers are necessary. Since site work at the original location is in a preliminary stage. the decision to relocate is expected to Lcause only a minor delay in the overall schedule. Relo-cation 'of the construction camp site -assoeiated with the Bruce.centre will also take place before the Heavy . Water Plant begins operation. Goderich is on list for doctors Health Minister Thomas Wells announced last Thursday the names of , 44 Ontario communities designated for special provincial help in getting doctors' services. Clinton was not on the list, but Goderich was. The communities - more will be named later - have been chosen as • having inadequate health services and will get help under the Ontario Health Resources Plan.which guarantees doctors an income of $26,000 • before taxes. will meet on the same day as the. planning board and work in conjunction with the planning consultants. The •new committee will be primarily _concerned with the amalgamation. of local municipalities within the present framework' of the county of Huron. The planning board asked that all local municipali•tios forward any information concerning matters on which approval by the Department of Municipal Affairs is being held up. The county development committee - noted that it is awaiting receipt of aerial ant ground photos in connection with the park area at Huronview. Balcouras elected safety council treas The Goderich Community Safety Council met Tuesday evening, October 28 in the offices of Victoria and Grey Trust Company. Ron Crossthwait•was in the chair. The question of raising funds to meet current- expenses was discussed 'and it was decided to send a „second request to town council indicating the urgency df the situation. Ron Price gave a report of a talk he gave to the Goderich Rotary Club concerning the need for funds and advised the council the matter w -as- being brought up at the next meeting of the club. Ron Wilton," secretaly, brought in a report on the present :financial status of the council together with the. resignation of treasurer Jerry Hopper due to family business. Gus Balcburas was elected treasurer by acclamation and assumed his duties that evening. A special investigation committee was formed consisting of Ron Price, chairman; Ron Wilton, Maurice Wilkinson and John .Jeffery. A meeting of the committee was called for Saturday November 1r at the home of,Ron Price. The , committee met as planned and discussed the duties of the committee before .starting investigations into reports of dangerous areas. Five areas were .examined by the committee during the afternoon and a report is to be brought before the whole of the safety = council at its next meeting on November 15. If approved, copies of the report, with recommendations, will be sent to the Goderich Town Council and the Goderich Police Department. S. Sutherland, Deputy Regional Training Director. Sixty. amateur coaches instructed Mr. R. McCrabb, B. Brady and ivlrs. M. Hartrick, professionals with the inter Club Figure Skating Group, graduated from . the Adastral Park, Goderich, Blyth, Cli@j, Exeter, Mitchell, St., Mayr 's and Stratford Figure Skating Clubs. A Test 'Chairmans Clinic was also conducted by Mr. Albert Dyer, Test Chairman for The Inter Club Figure Skating Group, Stratford. I .
