The bride's parents, formerly
of Goderich and Lion's' Head,
are Mr. and Mrs. William J.
Stoddart and the groom's
parents, previously of Indonesia,
are Mr. and Mrs. Robertus Alers,
all now residing in London.

Wedding March, . the bride was
escorted to the altar by her
father. She wore a full length
Own of white peau de soie with
long peacock -designed train,
fashioned• from the shoulders
and with -vide border of
appliqued guipere lace. Her
four -tiered veil of white illusion
was clasped in place by a
ringlette of tiny white roses and
lily of the valley, and she carried
a nosegay of yellow roses and
stephanotis.
Mrs. Kenneth Stoddart was
matron of honor and Wendy
Stoddart, cousin of the bride,
was bridesmaid. They were
dressed alike, in floor -length
princess fitted styling in
moss -green corded linen, with
short trains falling from the
shoulders and carried baskets of
shasta daisies and autumn
miniatures which were repeated
in the diagonal curves of their
very attractive coiffures.
Kenneth Stoddart, the bride's
brother, was best man and the
usher was Martin Alers, brother
of the bridegroom.
For the reception at "The
'Barn," ' Fanshaw Park, the
mother of the bride wore a
street -length dress of fortrel
raspberry with matching hat of
net and a shoulder corsage of
white rosebuds. The groom's
mother assisted, wearing a Dior
iriauve ensemble with black
accessories and corsage of yellow
Sweetheart roses. '
Later, Mr. & Mrs. Robertus
Alers Junior, left -for a leisurely
honeymoon trip by motor car en
route to their temporary, new
home id' Atikoken, Ontario.
Before her marriage the bride
was associated with the
Canadian 'Red Cross Transfusion
Service and the groom is with
the Northern Electric Company:

On the arm of her father, the

wedding a gown of white cloud
delustered bridal satin. The long
sleeves and bateau neckline,
overskirt and chapel train were
bordered with _deep bands _of
guipure lace. Her tiered veil of
tulle illusion was clasped to her
head with a coronet of French
flowers and -she carried a white.
Bible adorned with -daisies.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Sandra Myatt, Owen :Sound.
Bridesmaids were Jeannette
Ryan, cousin of the bride,
Goderich, and Brenda _ Hodges,
Goderich.
. They wore identical gowns of
primrose* yellow organza
fashioned with monks' sleeves
and caught at the. neck and
wrists with lace daisies. Yellow
bows were worn at the back of
their leads and they carried
basket's of artificial fall flowers.

was gowned; in a white lace
dress, wore a small bow in her
hair and carried a small basket of
fall flowers.

a corsage of white roses.
For travelling, the bride
changed to a white and navy suit
and.a yellow rose corsage.

Wingham.

Brampton.

double -ring ceremony. '

decoration.
The bride is the -daughter of
Margaret Brindley and the
groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Ross Doll, all of Goderich.
Mrs. Yvonne Strucke,
Hanover, was soloist,
accompanied by Mrs. Elta Snider
at the organ.
▪ The bride, given in marriage
by her brother 'Allan, wore a
floor -length ., wedding gown of
white lagoda crepe. The empire
bodice trimmed "with rows of
delicate , guipure lace had a
wedding band collar of lace and
wrist -length puffy sleeves ending
in a wide cuff of guipure lace
and tiny buttons, The soft A-line
skirt of lagoda was enhanced by
a • chapel -length train which
draped Eacefully from the high
waist to the floor. An inset of
the same fine lace bordered the
train. To complete her bridal
outfit, the bride wore a bouffant
veil of silk illusion which was
caught to a crown of tiny leaves
and seed pearls. She carried a
crescent bouquet of white roses
and carnations, having a -lavender
coloured orchid placed in the
centre with trailing ivy.
Attending the bride as maid
of'honour was Miss Diane Harris,
Bridesmaids were Mrs: Larry Le
`Beau, New Dundee; Mrs: Ron
:Moore, Mrs. -Jack Gemmill,
Hanover and Mrs. Allan
Brindley..
Theywere identically dressed
in floor -length gowns of purple
velvet. Their headdresses were
purple daisies and seed pearls.
They carried crescent bouquets,
of white carnations and trailing
ivy. •
Flowergirl Ronda Glazier,
wore a floor -length gowft of
white velvet accented with
purple daisies and carried a
nosegay of tinted daisies and ivy.
Groomsman was Gary Doll,
brother of the groom. Jim
McGee of Brantford, Ron
Moore, Jim Ryan of Stratford
and Barry Bogie ushered
Guests from a distance were
present from Stratford,
Brantford, Sarnia, New Dundee,
Sudbury, Galt, Southampton,
Port Elgin, Windsor and
Hamilton.
The b ide's mothelr" received
her 'guests at the Victoria Street
Church dining hall wearing a
lilac wool jacket dress with
matching accessories and a
gardenia corsage. A rose crepe
jackei~ess, figured brocade hat
with black accessories,' shaded
rose corsage was chosen by the
groom's mother.
• For travelling to Quebec and
Northern Ontario, the bride
donned a plum colored shantung
suit with black accessories and a
gardenia corsage.
Bridal -showers were held at
the homes of Mrs. Harold
•Larder; Mrs. Ron Moore; Mrs.
Archie Johnston assisted by Mrs
Andrew Moore and Mrs. Larry
Le Beau; Miss Diane Harris,
assisted by Mrs. Paul Bettles, and
Mrs. Ron Glazier.
The couple will reside in
Goderich.

father, the bride wore a
conventional floor -length gown
Of opaline silk. Deep guipure
lace formed., the high neck, and
trimmed the three-quarter length
sleeves. The dress was empire
style and a long sweeping train
completed the outfit. The
bouffant veil was of illusion silk
and the petal headpiece was
adorned with small crystals. She
carried a bouquet -of white roses
and a white orchid.
