Goderich Ontario Provincial Police detachment officers investigated the theft and reported 15 articles stolen including. baby wear, sweaters and other knitted items and exhibits in the sewing section. Total value of the loss was $65. Thieves entered the building through a small back window. The official opening of the_ fair was performed by Murray Gaunt, MP (Huron -Bruce). PRISCILLA LAVENDER Mrs. Priscilla Lavender, of Detroit, died in Wayne County Hospital, Michigan, Sunday, September 28, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lavender was born in Kincardine, December 22,-1915', a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alec McDonald, of Huron township. She attended S.S. No. 9, Huron and Ripley high school. Surviving are two brothers, George and Murray McDonald, Ripley; six sisters, Mrs. Dr. J. F. (Christine). Wenzel; Mrs. Marvin (Betty) Bobo, Detroit; Mrs. Margaret Oliver and Mrs. Helen McDonald, Goderich; Mrs. Rudy (Jean) Brandt, Toronto and Mrs. Agnes Kelly,, Ann Arbor, Michigan..
