With the closing of the Goderich Harbour facilities on September 30 the official sailing season for 1969 will
crime to an end. But only the official one. Many boat owners will still have their craft out do the waters of
the lake and the small boat owners who are fishing buffs will certainly be heading for the Maitland' lifer.
Bruce MacDonald, owner of this scaled down schooner called WANDERER, will be one of the last to lift
his boat. Bruce is well known along the shores of Lake Huron and so is his schooner. He spends much of his
time, cruising the waters his forefathers did and takes an interest in,teaching the younger folk something of
the art of sailing. Last weekend he was outwith a.troop of Sea Scouts from Woodstock giving the boys a
few pointers on seamanship.
