In recent weeks we have read
much criticism of Mac
MacDonald. We have had no
itlivolvement whatever with the
friction 'which has arisen 'This
1969 season of the Goderich
Dodger ladies' team.
However, we do remember, as
former players of thd Goderich
Dodgers, the good fortune we
had; to play in a highly
competitive league with such
teams as Stratford Kroehlers,
FQrence hies and ' Sarnia
Imperials of the Michigan -
Ontario Fastball League.
Playing and often defeating
these teams did hot result'
overnight. Had it not been for
the years of guidance and keen
interest shown by Mac, we
Would never have played the
championship ball which we did.
We also remember the
numberous k,indnesses of his
wife, who made a second home
for many of us.
We recall the thrill it was for
us when Agricultural Park was
filled with the Goderich and area
fans who attended our games so
faithfully. Such names as our

coach, Guy Emerson, the late
Reg McGee, from whom we
took our name, Frank Hibbert,
Chappie Chapman, Justice
Donnelly, and countless others
stand out in our minds. 1 .,
• Over the past fifteen years we
haven't forgotten, and it is our
hope that others won't 'forget
the high calibre of ladies' fastball
