MRS. MARY LAMBERTUS
'CELEBRATES 83RD
.BIRTHDAY
A quiet 83rd birthday ,was
celebrated by Mrs. Mary
Latnbertus- at her home on
Thursday, August 7th. Not too
many neighbours knew it was

Energy, determination and
independence lie beneath a short
sturdy frame. Although she uses
a cane° to help herself around:
she refuses to let the `years roll
by without continuing some
summer canning and preserving.
Pickles were bottled this past
week and now she's waiting for
the early crop of peaches.
"They're the best," she said. to
her daughter, Mrs. Irene Dalton.
"And if you fardon't get me some.
I'll get them myself." •
