Noinr -- if not sooner - and we surely appreciate it. To those participants; the people who came from Pear and far with their wares, either paintings or crafts -- and as with Tania - both - we want them to know we appreciate the effort put, forth -- and I hope they are happy they attended. One fine artist, Jack Polland (pronounced Poland) and his wife, came all the way from the 'Toledo, Ohio suburb of _a_ ---.. They have been vacationing in Goderich for several years and , really enjoy our convenient "Trailer Park" and said they are happy to be able, now, to mix business with pleasure: They attend art meets in many districts in the U.S.A. and Canada and tell me ours is one of the finest. Now .isn't that nice? The two ladies from Toronto area - Vicki with oils and lovely velvet paintings and Tania with paintings and her jewels y, also enjoyed Trailer Park and said they would certainly come again. They too, travel to many art exhibits in Ontario and said our Art Mart was one of the best. So -o -o -o that makes us feel ° very good - and we quickly forget all the work it entails. ('til next year.) A young couple in the Forest -Kettle Point area have published a children's book - one of the top sellers - had hoped to have the books for the show - but the publisher did not get them out to them in ' time - itnever fails. I know everyone enjoyed the artistic woodworking of our Clinton friend, John Plumtree. As with all woodworkers, he knows and loves the, fine woods - and he brings out the best in them. We were very happy to have him and I envied the proud couple who carried away his beautiful lamp base, It was • certainly a work of art. The Carlow ladies with their Country Crafts certainly made a good showing. Mrs. John Hallam with her delightful knitted dolls and things -- such patience! Mrs. Roy 'Eason - the>apron lady - knows just the right apron and size -for you. She -has made- hundreds of pretty aprons and just enjoys making a new style. -- weren't -weren't they cute? Many cosy fanciers realized how well made; • as well as unusual, they were and Sales were good • for their desijgner Rita-Hazell- I loved the little harness type - "nap sack with holes" for carrying your baby comfortably. on your back. Confortable for you' - and most important comfortable and safe for your baby - and baby loves it. Mrs. Heintz Hoernig designs and makes these "Baby -Go" things, also beautiful "Wild • Flower Stationery." Did you take • a good looli, at it? I noticed that so many people did not realize that these were real flowers dried and pressed - or pressed, then dried and transferred to thewriting paper. The work was so well done it seemed to be part of the paper itself and ` you couldn't believe such a dainty flower as a Queen Anns Lace could be stuck so flat and tight - and nary a glue mark anywhere. Nice Work! Our quiet Mrs. Robert Bean, with her sturdy and well. made twine mats, satmear Mrs. Wilmer • Hardy who had a wonderful "assortment. of weaving and sewing. Her quilts were beautiful. • Mrs.. Will McKnight entered some beautiful crochet work and Jack Clements had his Blind Craft work. You can -always contact him (Dungannon) for this nice leather work.
