Honarary pallbearers 'were Everett Alli, Stanley Snyder, Lloyd Walters and Bill Snyder. HERBERT W. FITZPATRICK Herbert William Fitzpatrick, 106 Wellesley Street, died at Alexandra Marine and. General Hospital on Thursday, July 10, 1969, following a lengthy illness. He was 69. Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Gaspe, Quebee, on March 25, 1900, the son of •Stephen Fitzpatrick and the former Emily Stewart. He served with the Merchant Marine in- world wars one and two and left in '1945. He was a lake seaman and chief engineer until 1966. Mr. Fitzpatrick was married in Montreal.on July 4, 1931, to the forni'er Laurena Crawford. They came to Goderich in 1937. He was an adherent of Knox F'resbyterian.Church. Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Mrs. John W. (Joan) Watson;:,Ayr, and two grandchildren, . The funeral service was held at Stiles Funeral H.ome at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12. Rev. G.' Lockhart Royal officiated. - Interment was in the veteran's plot at Maitland Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Donald Langridge, Maurice Wilkinson, Wilfred Peachey, Ernest Peachey, Ralph Morris. and Harold Chase. •MRS. LAURA FREED Mrs. Laura Snelgrove Freed died in Oakwood •Hospital, Dearborn Heights, Mich. on July 7th. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Lava) Finnigan, Detroit; and Mrs. r Garwood -i (Verna) Allston, Sudbury and son Fraser, Windsor. She was predeceased by a second son R. -J. Freed. .
