HENRY STURLEY • MRS. ETHE-L.E. MILNE..
Henry Sturley, Goderich, Mrs. Ethel E. Milne, 42 South

Mr. Wingert -was born in
Regina, Sask. 'on November 9,
1912, a son of Henry Wingert
and the former Eva Schmidt. He
attended schools in Regina,
living ._for several years in •the
USA. 1-1e moved to Goderich in
June, 1967. . •
During' the Second World War
Mr. Wingert served as a private in
the US Army Signal Corps, and
transferred to 'the Intelligence
Corps. with the rank of Captain.
In Europe, he served under the
command of Col. Woolworth.
He was married to Dr. Julia
O'Reilly on Dec. 19, 1964.
Mr. Wingert was in the Auto
• and Industrial Supply Business,
and was a member of St. Peter's
Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving with his wife are, a
son Patrick, at home; his
mother, Mrs. Henry Wingert,
Regina; two brothers, Leo and
Henry, both of Regina; two
sisters, Mrs. David (Kay)
Metcalfe Glendale, Cal}..; Miss
• Helen Wingert, Regina.

Mr.Arnitb, wa.s injured -when a
tree limb fell on his car during a
,,sudden thunder squall. He
suffered a concussion and was
,detained in hospital. His car was
badly damaged.
. Mr. Smith's insurance
company advised council it felt
. the town was responsible as
investigations had shown the
limb to be rotted and -the inside
clerk 'Sherman Blake noted it
was necessary for any claimant
to prdve gross negligence on the
part of town.
