Richard Evans Room 3 - Grade 7 WHITE ELEPHANT SALE The Activity Team arranged a Crop report The whole cropping system is very late due to cool wet weather. Hay and pasture is slow, most of grains are in but very slow in germinating and growing. - Some corn has been planted, but only a small percentage. Some farmers have exchanged corn for an earlier maturing variety. Guide Grapevine BY SUSAN FREEMAN - . What would happen if someone tossed your sleeping bag into a lake - unoccupied of course? Most likely this will strike most people as odd, but at our meeting, we found that it does happen! Mrs. -Reinhart, who is currently teaching us the fundamentals of camp, showed us how to enclose the sleeping bag tightly in a ground sheet and seal it with a knot. It's atase of sink or swim (for that matter float) if this bundle sinks, you're out of luck but if done, properly it will float and you've a warm place to sleep that night. If done correctly this will prevent soggy bedding in a case such as that. - Instead of our weekly meeting on Monday, next week we are to meet on Wednesday. The.leaders have a surprise in mind! All those who want to work for their "Religion and. Life'. emblems ask their ministers for the requirements. 'The Guide meetings will soon be over for the summer which is approaching all too slowly. Many of us though, will continue out guide work at various camps. SALE 1/2 GAL. 79 White Elephant Sale for Friday May 30th. Pupils brought old comic books,, toys and candy a,d other things. Mike Donnelly Room 3 - Grade 7 VERTEBRATE ANIMALS For a science project this month we did vertebrate animals; animals with • backbones. There were five groues; fish, amphibians,- 4 reptiles, birds and mammals. • .I was put in charge of the fish group. Anne Melick, Susan Hawes, Fergus . Burns, Mark "Bowers and Ronald Chisholm. In our research we discovered many things such as; starfish are not fishes, and a seahorse has only a head of a horse but is a fish. We had many diagrams on fins, kinds, stages, growth and other things. Many paragraphs were also written. Our poster was made by Ronald who put FISH in black and red.
