The annual Domtar Bowling Tournament was. held Saturday, May.31, at the Little Bowl .with 10
teams from all Ontario ,pivisions,of the company taking part, Host team 'was the Fine Salt division,
last year's winner. Bill Dean was team captain. Division winners were Pakaging: Corrugated Products,
St. Mary's, 3,547; Construction Materials:.Clay Products, Cookesville, 3,490; Chemical Division: Sifto
Salt Mine, Goderich, 3,454. Winner of,the all-round Domtar Trophy was Domtar Pakaging Corrugated
Products; St. Mary's, who will host the tournament next year. Individual winners were: high triple,
Joe Daer, Sifto Salt Mine, 864; A. McKnight, Corrugated Products, St. Mary's, 794 and Bill Dean,,
Sifto Salt Evaporator, 783. High singles: Cliff Pyke, Corrugated Products, Toronto, 369; J. Nadalin,
dine, Beachville, 335; Joe Daer,,Sifto Salt Mine, 308. Teams were present from Toronto, Cookesville,
Beachville, St. Mary's and Goderich. They were entertained at a banquet at the Royal Canadian

Seaforth youth wins
livestock judging event
Tom Papple of Seaforth
became ,the top livestock judge
in Huron County among 140
Junior Farmers and r4 -H Club
members here Saturday.
He scored 612 of a' possible
650 points for an aggregate high .
and the highest scores in the
swine and dairy sections. ,He
won the senior award.
Intermediate winner—was Joe
Phelan of RR 2, Myth, with 607
points. Junior winner wag Glen
McNeil of RR 6, Goderich, with
583. - Novice class winner was.
Helen Chandler ' of RR 3,
Wingham, who scored 578.
Gerald . Dietrich of, RR 1,
Centralia, was top judge in the
sheep - section 'and Murray
Morrison of RR 1, Lucknow,
highest in beef.
The annual competition took
place, at the Seaforth District
Secondary School. ' Three beef
and three swings IIclasses were
judged along with two dairy and
one sheep class. One of the beef
classes involved beef cuts and
one serine class was carcasses.

at Victoria Street United
Church, did their good turn last
week_ and were commended' by
an official of the Children's Aid,
for their efforts. °
The girls each earned money
to buy a baby's diaper, hemmed
the diaper and- the finished
works were presented to. the
Children's Aid Society. .
Miss C. McGowan, of the
Children's Aid Society, was
present to receive the gifts and
told the girls it was "...the nicest
thing that had ever been done
for the Children's Aid Society."
