This was a pleasant surprise to the people of Kingsbridge and after- checking with Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Frayne, a retired. veterinarian and his wife who thd that th live etre, ey sal relationship lies with Miss. Callwood:s husband Trent Fran '"(he has no "e"),U dug around in Ireland and carne up with a lot of stuff that possittly coincides with that of the ` ir. Gilbert Frayne yotu mention. Of brief and possibly humorous note (as you request) I. can only tell you that any of the Fraynes I know have an incredible propensity for unusual first, or given naives. My father is Milford Homer, Frayne, his father was Lorenzo, and I have a local' acquaintance (who may or may not be related) named Antcliffe Ayisworth Frayne. My own name is Trent Gardiner Frayne, but that was an accident. My parents were convinced I'd be a girl; had selected -Dorothy as the name, and were dumfounded when a ma • ' Dorothy arrived. ,So they ' th in my mother's maiden ' (Trent) •and my father's t 1+ftI+ 4Ni. n mother's maiden name • (Gardiner) and said there you gclR Dorothy, try that,, And what's happened is that my wife and close friends call me Bill. This doesn't appear very interesting and, certainly doesn't reflect on the llth Century you mention but I really don't know anything about the' antecedents, Sincerely, Trent Frayne Frayne. n "The relationship,",said Mrs. Gilbert Frayne, "is .indeed + - • • Benmiller- G distant since Trent's - and ilberts ancestors parted company about 1066, after the Mrs.' Doreen Willis opened the Battle of Hastings.
