Barbara Empey and the offering
was received, by Lorraine
Chamney andIN dedicated with
prayer by Jayne Arthur.
Mrs. William Stiles,
counsellor, presented the second
gold starts to, Jayne Arthur,
Barbara Empey, Carol Gross and
Lorraine ,Chamney. Mrs. Stiles
also, presented blue second -year
stars to Joyce Chamney Yvonne
'Bean, Cathy McClinchey, Faye
Seers, Doris „Naylor, Maureen
Longhurst. Mrs, Maurice Bean,
chief counsellor, presented the
second red stars to Debbie
Jeffersoy, Judith Robinson,
Ma rj,ly.n W ghtman, Gail
Patterson, Laurie Noble and
Faye Hildebrand.
• Marie Plunkett, president of
the CGIT group was in charge
and the girls sang a song
• accompanied by Betty Moss.
Eighteen, Auburn 4-H girls
entertained their mothers and
Women's Institute members.to a
program and -a social time last
week in the Auburn Community
Memorial Hall. The guests were
welcomed by the leaders, Mrs.
Wes Bradnock and Mrs. Donald
Haines. The presipit of the
Kool Kuts, Sheron Collins,
welcomed all tothe program.
Doreen - We Clinchey was
'convenor.- A piano solo was
played by Wanda Plaetzer.
Lorraine thamney sang "a -solo
accompanied by he mother,
Mrs. Gordon ChamSey. Piano
solos were. also played by Sherry
Plaetzer and . Carol Gross. - A
collection was taken up by
Donna Charnney and Brenda
Archambault. After presenting a
Skit, lunch was served by the
girls. Mrs. Frank Raithby,
president of the • Wonien's
Institute, thanked the leaders
and the girls for the invitation.
s. A pink and, white decorated
chair, under an arch of wedding
bells and .streamers,, made a
lovely setting for the bridal
shower given to honor Miss
Klaske Koopmans prior to her
marriage.

With Mrs. Norman Wightman at
the piano. Miss Anderson pinned...
a corsage on Miss Klaske and
Miss Betty Moss pinneda

reading was. given by Mrs.
Thomas Haggitt. A solo was sung
by Miss Ramona Harrna. Mrs.
Walter Cunningham. gave a
contest.
A lovely piano solo was
played by Mrs. Robert J. Phill, A
c'fintesOwas given by Miss MosS
and Mrs. Arthur Grange received
the prize. An address of
congratulations was read by Miss
Barbara Carter and the gifts
carried in by Mrs. Ted Bakker;
Misses Nancy Taylor, Marie
Plunkett, Shelley Grange,_
Brenda East and ,Karen East.
Miss Klaske was assisted in
opening the gifts by her mother.
A hat and lei of bows made
by Miss, GWerr McDowell -Was
placed on the guest of honor.
Everyone joined in Singing For
she's a jolly good fellowy and
lunch was served.
The Clinton Junior Farmers
and Junior Institute members
presented their annual Variety
night in the AuburnCommunity'
Memorial - hall with a large
attendance. •
The president, . Marinus
Bakker, welcomed everyone.
Jamieson Ribey, Huron County
Junior Farmer president, told
about the group's support of an
orphan child in India and
contributions to the World
Illiteracy Fund. 6
The Jones' brothers of Kippen
sang several duets. A one -act
play, "Nobody' Sleeps," was
presented by Janett Merrill,
Helen Good, Cathy McIlwain,
Joanne Cook and Douglas
Henry.
Square dancing, under, the
direction of Mr. and Mrs. Glen
Patterson, was well done by
Misses :Brenda Ball, Lois Merrill,
Sheron Collins, Karen McKenzie,
Nan Lapps and Daryll Ball, Daryk
Ball, Jamieson Ribey, Walter
McIlwain, Doug' Henry and
Randy Henry. An impersonation
of Noah building the ark was
done by Ray McClinchey, Waiter
McIlwain and Daryl Ball.,
Fold singing was done by Nan
Lapp, Brenda Ball, Helen .Good,
