RE: INCREASED UTILITY RATES.
We regret that some of our valued customers misinterpreted our.
advertisement in the Signal Star regarding thg necessary increase in.electric
rates in Goderich. All such .rates are subject to approv. al of The Hydro
Electric Power -Commission of Ontario and the following quote is from their
letter,of approval:
wish' to inform you that on '..l'antiary 23, 1969, the
Comrnission approved the application' of the Goderich Public
Utilitres Commission to revise its retail rates in accordance
with the following net schedules TO BECOME EFFECTIVE --
WITH ALL BILLS ISSUED ON AND AFTER APRIL 1,
1969."
ct
Our new rates,., averaging 1.24 cents per kilowatthour, compare most
favourably with the -1.51 cents of 1953', and, in short, the biggest' bargain in
° your family budget is electricity.
