Goderich Rebekah Lodge
Nittnber 89 held their regular
meeting in MacKay Hall on
Tuesday, April 1, with the
officers/ o ' Huronic Lodge,
CJIIitop.., - filling the chairs for
both the opening and closing
ceremonies.
Mrs. Marion Wilkie of Owen
Sound, assembly president,
made her official visit
accompanied by the district
deputy president, 'Mrs. Mary
Loise, of Brussels.

The Goderich District'Collegiate Drama Club presented the' play
DEATH COMES TO MY FRIEND, by Carl Dollman, as its'entry
in the fifth annual Huron, -Perth District Collegiate Drama
t' Festival, at Stratford Northwestern School, 'March 28 and 29.
Seen during the performance, are, left to right, Janice Palmer as
Cynthia; Susan Miller as Lady Lenster; Diane Munday as Mariachi
and David Royal As Alecti. Other members'of the cast were Paul
Black who played Jackson, artd Greg Markson as The,Announcer.

Board receives
21 resignations
The Huron County Board, of
Education met Monday, April 7,
in Central Huron Secondary
School, Clinton.
John Cochrane, director of
education reported 21
resignations had been received to
date, from public and secondary.
school teachers.
A resolution was passed, that
representation be made to the
Minister of Education, Mr.
Davis, drawing to his attention
thea _shortage ' of, able
secondary school te. ers,
particularly for the English
departments. '
Tenders will be called this
week for a the alterations
necessary for the Board offices
at CHSS. Until the new facilities
are completed the Board • is
continuing on .a month to month
basis at the Court .House in
Goderich.
Mr. 4, Cochrane said
Wednesday, he plans to
introduce a resolution at the
next 'board meeting, Which
would eliminate the exlusion-of
the press _ from future board
meetings.

had been involved in the

won two games and the Road
Runners have' won one game.
The Lions Club , and the
Crusaders have not won any
games. The Screamin' Demons
won against the Crusaders 8 to 0
on Thursday, March 27. We wish
good luck to all the teams.

an interesting discussion on the

dating between boys and girls
below grade 10 is --foolish."

15, when all members are urged

year. Tickets were sold on a
china tea set and it was won by
Mrs. Ruby Snazel. .
A crystal salad bowl and pin

from the district lodges and she
made a fitting reply.
There d were well over 100

conclusion . of the meeting ' a
lunch was served by Mrs., Ruth
Hayden and her committee.

Morning Star Rebekah Lodge .at.
Brussels initiated two new
mei hers for us. They were: Mrs.
Jean Barnett and Mrs. Irene Oke.
