Rev. Glen Wright of Dungannon United Church will be one of five United Church ministers from Canada to attend the institute for advanced Pastoral Studies in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan from April 7 to 16. Mr. John Bere of Toronto spent the weekend with his mother Mrs. Mary Bere and family. On Sunday Miss Ruth Schmidt of Tavistock visited. Miss Clara Sproul of Goderich visited on Sunday with Mr. aR rd Mrs. Art Elliott. Mrs. Alvin Kerr 'and Sally returned home from Florida last week. They enjoyed 'beautiful sunny, weather and Sally enjoyed swimming in the Atlantic. Master • Ricky Pearce of London, spent the weekend with his grandfather Frank Pentland and Aunt Donna Pentland. Mr. and Mrs. Len Cook spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs,' Dell Cook, Ken and Joanne of --Holmesv_ille. • Mrs. Harold Elliot and' Helen spent- Sunday in Listowel where Mrs. Elliot's mother, Mrs. Roy McCreight is a patient in Listowel hospital. We are very glad to report Mrs. : McCreight's condition has improved considerably. •, ' Mrs. M. Guides enrolled in 1st and 2nd Company Monday, March 31, was another..big night for the 1st and w 2nd Goderieh Guide Companies. The' mothers of our five tenderfoot guides were present to see their daughters, Bonnie Frank, Laurie Biggon, Ann - Jenkins, Brenda Lowden and Valerie Clutton, enrolled by Captain Della Allen. Captain Allen also presented Hostess Badges to Cathy Vance, Wanda Linner, Anita Robinson - and Janet Steep. - Captain . • Donna ' Fisher presented Hostess Badges to Cynthia Fisher, Janine Fisher, .Karen Harris and ..Nina Knight. She also presented 2nd Class Badges to Cynthia Fisher, Janine Fisher arid Karen Harris. - During Campfire, we were 4 F entertained with a Highland dance by Wanda Linner and humorous skits by Anita Robinson, Mary Jane Sprung, Dale Oke and'Cathy Vance. Sing songs and. games followed and a presentation of a piece of Bine Mountain Pottery was made to Captain Allen whose wedding takes place this month. Tea, cookies and Easter candies were then' enjoyed by everyone. CGIT The Dungannon CGIT held their meeting in the Sunday school rooms on April 3. The president, Anne Errington was in charge. The meeting opened with the hymn and purpose. Barbara Blake, sec. treas, read' the minutes- of the last meeting and read the roll call. In'• the business period , the special services for the Sunday following Easter were discussed. The meeting closed with Taps.
