Thirty-five drivels were presented with safe driving awards at the
annual banquet 'of Guenther Tuckey Transports. Limited held at
Lucan recently. The awards winners., were left to right, standing:

Last Friday we had another
hockey gaffe at the arena. 'The
Jaguars, coached by Mr. Sanders,
_lost- to the, Stampeders 6-4. Mr,
Main coached them because Mr.
Harman was not available:

On Tuesday, the Cyclone
basketball -team had a game,
against the GDCI Midgets at our
school. The- Oycl'anes-" won-
21-18.

Last Thursday the Cyclone .
Volleyball -team went to-
. Holmesville School to play their
team. The Cyclones won in 2 of,,
their 3 games.

His World.. We are taking about
famous people like Nixon, Royal

McDonald'. The teacher asked ' all looming ' forward to his ' visit

opened my window and this is
what I heard.
"Why must you always pick on
me?" remarked the worm.
"Pick . on you?" , inquired the
bird.
"You're nothing but a good for
nothing rat. You just pick on
helpless little worms," remarked -
the worm.
"You're riling me worm."
warned the bird. 4A,
"Touch me and I'll break your
beak!" said the worm.
So the bird grabbed ' the worm
and tugged and, pulled and
tugged until snap went the
worm. .
The moral -,of this 'story is
"Pick on Someone Your Own
Size."

the senior wing. He talked about
sketching and painting. He
showed us some of his creations
both the original and in colour
slides. After this, he answered
questions on both the paintings

member Federation of Women
Teachers' Association of
Ontario, who attended the
.Federation's annual' February`
conference in Toronto, February
14 to 16.
The theme --this year was
"Concern," and delegates heard
scholars, journalists, sociologists,
a psychiatrist, social workers and
other authorities discuss a'.
variety of social problems.
Speakers at the Conference
included the controversial John
Brown, whose methods of
,treating emotionally disturbed
children were hotly debated. Dr:
Herman Stein, newly appointed ,
Dean of the School of Social
Work; Columbia University, New
York, traced the development of
children's rights through
history.

persons attended the Guenther
Tuckey Transports Limited
annual Safe Driving Award
banquet held at the Shillelagh
Motel in Lucan recently.
Thirty-five drivers were
presented with safe driving
awards 'ranging from one to 12
years of accident free driving.
The drivers were presented
with a safe driving award pin- as
well as a special award from
Guenther Tuckey Transports
Limited.
Leslie Mitchell was top driver,
with 12 years safe driving.

Kneale. Mr: Kneale of W. H.
Hodgson Insurance presented a
cheque -to the 10 -year drivers.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Anderson of
London, Mr. Anderson, is a

presented a film and also spoke
briefly on safe driving. Mr: and
Mrs. Jerry Lackie, of London.
Mr. Lackie was representing the
Department of Transport of
Ontario. Corporal Mitchell
represented the Ontario
Provincial Police.
