Pork tenderloin makes .ideal roast
Pork tenderloin, stuffed and
batted, makes an ideal roast for a
small family. It also slices nicely
when cold, so leftovers axe no
problem; even if you cook for
only one or two. This recipe
suggests a, delicious apricot
stuffing, but you can use your
favourite bread or apple stuffing,
if you prefer.
THE BIBLE TODAY
Translation of the Scriptures
is not just a matter of words and
dictionaries. leis fundamentally
a matter of conveying the, right
message so that those accepting
it as the true basis for living may
ultimately mature 'as responsible
human beings.
Richard W. F. Wootton, a
translator, •recalls one Easter
campaign Some years ago in the
Punjab. Several • churches and
Christian bodies` divided a large
city into areas, - and volunteers
delivered leaflets telling the
passion and resurrection
according to St.' Luke to every
home where someone could
read. It caused quite -a stir; and
sermons were preached in the
mosques against the New
Testament, and a feeling of
bitterness was created which the
Christians tried to overcome.
"I used to hate the Muslims,"
said one Christian afterwards,
"But through doing this
work, I have come to love them"
'This," says Wootton, "is the
real reward of Bible translation."
