The S. [.A.'s purpose, a:
Outlined by chairman, Bill Van
Osch, is • to keep the
communication lines open
between tip teachers and
parents, to aid with scho..1
activities like, open house; track
and field, as requested by the
principal. Six members elected
to serve on the local association
are Stan Doherty, Bill -Van .Osch,
and Jim Martin of Kingsbridge;
Mrs. Wisser, Lucknow; Joe
Hickey and Neil Stapleton, St.
Augustine. Non -elected members
are Father Galea and Clem
Steffler. The association plans to
meet once a month.

Kingsbridge Gird Guides
On Feb. 27 the Guides had
anot her meet-ing. They opened
with roll call and all were
present but two.. -The guide's
formed a 'horseshoe and were
given a few instructions about a
history test. Eighteen members
passed .the tests and the results
will be given next week.
Mrs.. Jack ` - 'I'igert ,then
explained how to play a oat and
mouse, game and all had a .lot of
tun. The guides then went to
patrol corners where some of tile:
,girls •passed a few tests that they
had missed.
Afterwards they had campfire
and the Ki4tishers had a skit,
called "('ockrobin" which yeas
yery entertaining.
The girls all tried' some new
songs. The guides were then told
that an,.enrollnlent is planned for
March 13 when Miss MacMillan,

This trophy, a rose bowl, is to
represent curling as a team
effort. For this year, it was
decided to have play -downs in
'the second draw, the fourAop
teams from the afternoon and
evening groups participating.
