The regular meeting of the„
Goderich and District Labour
Council- was._held on Monday,

officers were. 'elected and

positions: Marjorie. Robinson -

education and delegations."
It was -decided that before
electing a delegate . to M. O. D.
A., the council would look into
the true functions of 'this
Organization and -find out if it is
really ' accomplishing anything.
The council felt its members are
all "perhaps under the impression
that M., 0. D. A. as part of the
industrial commission, is
interested in ' having more
industry in our town, but as yet
nothing has materialized."
Also under discussion was the
current dump issue, and ` the
labour council has "taken a dim
view of the councillors -who -are'
against its re -location."
This was the first meeting of
the labour council with the new
executive and it is hoping for a
good year.
