Ann Arbor and -:Montreal. from March 4 to April 13. Born in Vancouver, Miss Wood_is a graduate of England's' Royal Academy or Dramatic Art, ,where her class roster included strch names as Peter O'Toole and., Albert Finnery. After graduation, she acted with London's B.B.C. and came to the United States , to work towards an M.F.A. at the Yale Drama School. On a Ford Foundation grant, Miss Wood Withdrew from Yale .to become resident leading lady with the Alley Theatre in Houston. - The actress left Houston to appear ,qn Broadway in Hidden' Stranger and as Madame Pace in 'Six Characters in Search of,.an Author. This was followed by a variety of roles in stock and repertory,` with. Theatre on the Green, repertory,' Berkshire Playhouse and Hartford Stage Company, among others. In recent years Miss Wood has appezred as Lady Fidget in the Lincoln Centre production of The Country Wife, as Clytemnestra in Agamemnon and Gertrude in Hamlet at Princeton's McCarter 'Theatre, and in- the Alexander 11. Cohen production of White Lies, and Brack Comedy. She has also spent seasons with the New :York Shakespeare Festival and Detroit's Meadowbrook Theatre. • Miss Wood was 'al psychology ma)or at the 'university of British Columbia, where her .father was an English professor :for .35 years (the Frederick Wood Theatre at the University was named after him).
