Woodworking
In the woodworking class we
have been making wooden
. skunks,' gunracks, trays,
waste -paper baskets and Cocker
Spaniels. We -started outF,•with a
pattern of what we wanted to
snake. We yused carbon paper to
,trace it onto the wood. Then it
is our job to cut, there out and"
paint them. This is a project that
we may .be able to carry on in
later years.. We find it very

from other subjects. •

A.Sutnmer Morning
The • ground was wet and
soggy under my feet.. It seemed
so fresh and new just like a
summer morning:• The sweet
music hof robins singing came to
my ears singing to their babies.
The , flowers looked like a
blooming harden. I could smell
the delicious taste of eggs
cooking at one of the campers
tents. 1 heard children shouting
to each other and see them
frolicking about,in every
direction... I herd squirrels
chattering and crunching on
nuts. I touched the delicate
flowers and the wet soggy grass.
I walked slowly back to the
house dreaming dreams.

SKI -DOGS AND TOBOGGANS'
In the olden days . people
always used to race toboggans.
Now they race ski-doos; they
aren't' as easy to tip as
.,toboggans. Some goy sixty or
seventy miles per hour. You
don't.have to» push, it up. hills.
Ski-doos run by motor and you
can climb hills and even drive on
the roads. The world is getting
better every year.

:\ CENTURY FROM TODAY
:\ century from now there
will 'probably be many different
things happening that we would
find hgrd to believe.' For .
instance \'.f'• may tand a way of
breathing and living under water.
.Also a way for living in peace
where . you cdtrld go on tdurs or
isits to the moon and. al,
different planets.., -
On these planets . we could -
build coloured or .clear glass
houses, "psychadellic buildings.
and roads and have a way of
travelling without going on bus,
train, car, plane, etc. -Possibly we
will just,ha‘e to push buttons to
prepare our food- and do cur
work. :\layvbe we would be able
to learn without.goin,g to school
so \t e »could go to new planets,
e.xp1ore• and ,settle them. Or else
have some contraption that
would take us to „the middle -of.
the earth. ' ° .
Even i f ' only some of these
things come true, our world will
Very likely be • amazingly
different.
