Mr. Joseph Cohbledielc, of the firm of
Cobbledick & Eolland, of this place, dis-
posed of his 125 acre farm in the town-
ship of Biddulph on Tuesday last to
Mr. Joseph ICelly, of Darlington, for
the sum of $9,250 00. The price re
ceived is a good one, but this is one of
the best farms in that toiveship. Mr.
Cobbledick purposes having a sale in

plonk to Grand Bend, on Friday, the
10th inst. 11. was largely attended by
'the scholars and the people of the sec-
tion with their friends. A good time
was spent in different amusement, the
cheif ones being croqueeswinging and
boating. SeveraLpienies are to be held
during this week'. One to be at Grand

to be held by the Patrons; by the river
at Brinsiey. We hope they will all
have fair weather and a pleasant time.
-A district meeting of the Orange
Lodge was held in Crediton on Satur•
day, the lith inst., at which it was de-
cided that, the Orange celebration
should be held in Sarnia on July 12th,
thus giving the people a good chance
to see and go through the tunnel. The
round trip costs only One dollar. -Ow-
ing to the absence of Rev. R Redmoed
on Sunday last we had the, pleasure of
listening', morning and evening, to Mr.

ing completed. for the holding of the
camp meeting., services were held at
10.30 a.m , 280 and (330 p.m., being
conducted by Rey. Mr, Irwin, Miss Wil-
liams and Conductor Snider. The at

filled with horses and 'vehicles. On
the grounds are seven tents and a
large one thet is used 08.0 dining hall,
whieh are occupied by people taking
part in the tneetings. In a nice little
cluster of trees a large platform has
been erected, which is used. by the
speakers and other's engaged in. these
services, on which is an organ that is
used while singing the praises of God.
