The flag design, which incorporates the victory "V" with the initial letter of the Viking team name, was chosen by a com mittee of the students' council. We are glad to know that Mrs. Campbell is feeling better. * * • * The Anglican ladies guild held a card party on December 8 with nine tables playing euchre. ,The ladies high winner was Mrs. William Wiggins, second, ,Mrs. Cecil Blake, and Mrs. Elsie McIntyre, low. Cecil Blake was high for the. men, Don Aubin second and Johnny Young low. They will have the next party on January 5. The death occurred in Ottawa -. on December 2 of Annie Edna Pentland, widow 'of the late - Harry Bellamy, former resi. dents of this area, in her 79th DUNGANNON year. Mrs. Bellamy was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Pentland of Con. cession 6, Ashfield and is sur. vived by• a sister, Mrs. Lillian Campbell of Ottawa and one brother Fred of Fairview, Al. berta. * * * Roger Pentland spent the weekend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Prank P entland. Roger is with Ontario Hydro and is now at the Niagara generating station at Niagara Falls. They have lived in Clod.- erich since 1945, They have two sons, Allan and Edgar, and a daughter, Mrs;. Fordyce (Irene) Clark; 20 grandchildren and six great. grandchildren. Mr. Stoll has one sister, Mrs, Alex Johnston of Stayner, , who was unable to attend. Of Mrs. Stoll's seven brothers and four sisters, only t vo brothers, Thomas and Frank Wilson, were present for the occasiop.
