A week ago .Saturday, they defeated the Greek Olympians ata home game in Agricultural park. Last Saturday the United's were idle in the London and district soccer schedule.. They have not allowed themselves to get out of shape however. d Thursday July 27, they played an exhibition• game with a team from the Canadian Forces Base, Clinton and wound up on top of that match by a :score of 5-2. More exhibition games with the CFB team are planned for this summer. One game was played in Goderich Minor League soccer Monday night, The Lion Hearts edged the Legion Cherubs 3-1. Conlon, Reflinghaus and Fisher each booted a goal for,the Hearts; Crawford scored the only tally for the Cherubs. Taking, a look . at Goderich Industrial League softball action for a moment, all four teams were in action in last Monday night's double-header. Results were: Firemen 6, Kinsmen 4, Domcos• 11, B. R. Robinson Floors 3. It's worth noting here that.seven home runs were hit during the 14 innings of play. _ r In Central Huron softball, the regularly scheduled games have almost all been played and play -oft series are just around the corner. Dungannon remains out in front of the seven team grouping and from there down the other clubs are•closely bunched.' Incidentally, the Central Huron All-stars won their last game with the Goderich :Industrial League All-stars which evens this town -versus country series at one game apiece.
