Mr. Robert Steinbach, of Zurich, was
the guest of Mr. A G. Dyer Monday
and Tuesday, and in his rambles
through the village gave the ADVOCATE
a call.—Mr. and Mrs. William Hoskin,

lin to see their daughter, Mrs. Louis
Walper; who has been NI for some time
and not been expected to recover—Ain
W. D. Weekes left on Wednesday to
attend the marriage ceremony of his
brother George in Guel},li.—Mr David.
Johns, who gas been ailiug for some
time with an internal trouble, left on
Tuesday morning for the London Hos-
pital to have an operation performed
and is expected to be absent from borne
for sonie time, providing he undergoes

at London Tuesday..—Mrs. Rev, Colin
Fletcher of Thames Road left for Ham-
ilton Tuesday on a short visit —Mr.
John E. Laidlaw, of London, who has
been attending the Ontario Veterinary
College, forunto, arrived here this week
and intend remaining with A. Tennent
V. Sedating the coming summer to
practice and study the Veterinary pro-
feesion. Mr Hod ;ins a former student

has secured employment. We say adieu

fined to her bed for several days and
is now slowly improving from the sud-
den attack which oceurred on Satur
day last.—The health of Mr. James

Handford who has been laid up with
rheumatism. and whose recovery- was

whose recovery is uncertain.

place at the residence of Mr John Hey,

might dispose of a portion of his "stock,
having rented his farms to his sons, he
intends retiring. Stock brought good
prices.
Laborers have been busy during the
past week tearing down the fences sur
rounding the grounds on the old mark

Everything is now in a fair way to
completion and the new site is present-
ing a much better appearance than it
furmerly had.
