ey o r"The signifidant happening of 1966 was the banding, of our new Hospital Wing and the renovations of the 1957 Wing, When the dust has settled and the sound of pneu. Matte drills and other noisy pieces Of equipment, which are not conducive to good- patient care, have been stilled, we will ave'a building in which .the best : health' services will be pro. tded. for our patients. "The. contractor$, ,sub -con.. tractors and tradesmen who were employed on, the hospital pro. ject were most co•Qperativewhen .it became necessary, to curtail certain services from time td time. At all times they were concerned with patient care and would schedule their jobs for periods ,when it was most con- venient for our staff and at no discomfort to our patients. Our patients, staff al,nd doctors are to be complimented on their co. Operation and patience during the Past year of din, dust and Ms. comfort. "As a result of the building program it is not possible to mak a valid comparison of act.. ivittes and cost of services with other years. The conditioasunder which patten, care vlfas provided .did not allow for normal work loads: •or working conditions, therefore, the best; degree of efficiency was not pbssible to. attain.
