Is A Santa Claus" On this with all we feel . n the day will e be known as a day peace among all m blessed holiday, we our friends the peace . Merry Christmas to ver of en. ' wish to share and happiness you and yours! Glen Price and Staff CLERE.VU AUTO WRECKERS HOLMESVILLE — 482-3842 Sixty-four years ago, an eight-year old girl warote to the New York Sun to ask quite simply; "Please tell me the truth --- is there a Santa Claus' e, The newspaper's reply, which has become one of the Christmas Season', Classics, was in part as follows. .a• "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion !exist. And you know thatthey abound and give to your life its highest beauty_and joy. Alas, how dreary the world would be if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith,, no poetry, no romance to make •tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment except in sight and sound. The eternal light with which child. hood fills the world would he extinguished. Nobody sees Santa Claus bur •that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing ' on the water? Of course not! But that's no proof that they're not there. Nobody `can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world... No Santa Claus? Thank Goad! He lives, and livesforever. A thousand year from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten `thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood. •X• 0 . 00 Radiantly, a star shines across the years ... recalling the joy of, the first Christmas, and gleaming still in hope and happiness for all. Let us rejoice, as we cherish the manifold blessings of this holy season. r ' Mana.denreft and Staff Of BAINTN ELYTFt kT NURSING HOME
