Winter's
Jam
By H. L. Baird
Nearly 80percent of all win-
terizing work handled by car
dealers is jamlrned into a few
days each year starting with the
first cold spell.
Service facilities are swamp-
ed, mechanics, are generally not
able to do as thorough a job
and the chances are you'll be
kept waiting when you need
transportation most.
Most 'starting failures result
frean pitted or defective distrib-
utor points and worn condens-
ers. The- condenser intensifies
the spark which is in turn trans-
mitted through the distributor

Sludge must be removed from
the crank case and replaced with
a winter grade of oil and the
battery fully changed.
An advisable added precau-
tion for the winter would be to
have. the charging rate of your
battery increased to compensate
for the increased drain on bat-
tery power, from winter starts.

mankind's many other problems.
But these good efforts have riot
satisfied our needs. Conditions
have gradually deteriorated be-
yond human ability to remedy.
Mr. Statton concluded with this
remark, "Mankind's greatest
need is an entirely new "system
of things" of which the Bible
speaks in the 10th chapter of
Mark. It is rooted in the Christ.
Ian system of things now in oper-
