The contract for the develop-
ment road between Amberley and
.Lake Huron has been let to Har.
old Kerr Construction Co. o2
W ham, at the tetfdert price
of ,1138.70, It was the lowest
of five tenders received. The
highest was $251,342.30.
The approximate 1 1/2 mile
stretch from_ Amberley to Lake
Huron wits recently designated
as a development roadbythe pro-`
viurtal g,vernment and as such
the province pays 100 per cent
of the construction costs.
The road" is the d.viding line
between Ashfield and Huron
Townships and Ashfield have
looked after the detail in regard
to arrangements and tender calls.
Only costs to -the two townships
are land and fence costs which
