In Goderich last Tuesday the
Siftos " roared from behind a 5.2
defi+it to tie Elmira 5.5. The
beginning of the game was de.
layed 40 minutes because the
Elmira team .was.delayed by fog
conditions on the highway.
Both teams showed good skat-
ing.. ability in the first period+,
and each team scored once. Jim
Farrish scored 'for the Siftos
with the assists going to line -
mates Cam ColquhounandDennis,.
Lassaline. Darrye Sittlerreplied
for the Elmira squad.

Reported At Lochalsh
Lochalsh – Dec. 8 was a
summer-like day with a60 degree
temperature and found many folks
putting up Christmas-'decora•-
tions.

Obituary
Mrs. Richard Finnigan
A funeral was held Dec. 10
for Mrs. Richard Finnigan, 88,
of 20 Elgin Ave. E., who died at
,her home Dec. 7.
Mrs. Finnigan was the former
Sarah Plowman, daughter of the
late Edward Plowman and Honor
Routley, and was born. at Whitby
'She came to West Wawanosh in
1885 and 'attended school there.
On Nov. 14, 1900 she married
Richard Finnigan who died Oct.
9, 1960. Mrs. Finnigan moved
from West Wawanosh to God.

of Victoria Street United Church.
She is. survived by six .sons,
Benson and Gordon, WestWawan.
