Mr. and Mrs. Rod G. Johnston,
97 = Lighthouse St., celebrated
their 50th. wedding anniversary
Nov. 29:
Mrs. Johnston was the former
Mabel MacDonald. Mr. Johnston
was associated with Johnston and
Mallough Machine Shop until his
retirement a. few years ago.
They recall their wedding day
when the late Rev. R. C. Mc.
Dermad D.D. then minister of
Knox Presbyterian Church
-officiated.
Their golden wedding anniver-
sary was marked by a family
gathering at a dinner party. at
°Tiger Dunlop Inn. Included
were - M and Mrs. Eric John.

Gordon (Betty) Elliott and

former Evelyn McLean, who was

Mr. and Mrs. Reg Ryan, of
Nile, celebrated their golden wed-
ding anniversary Nov. 29.
Mrs. Ryan was the former
Viola Young, daughter of Mr. and
_ Mrs. A. W. Young, of Colborne
Township. Mr. Ryan is the soh
of Mr. and Mrs. David Ryan, of
Nile. They were married at the
bride's home by Rev. Laing, of
Carlow Presbyterian Church.
On Nov. 26 family, relatives
and friends had dinner at Tiger
Dunlop Inn.
Open house was held Nov. 29
Relatives from Pontiac, Bloom-
field, Clarkson, Detroit and Tor.
