greeted by chilly temperatures, but a warm
greeting when they arrived in Auburn from

Several dozen curious
residents were attracted to the
harbor here last Thursday at 3
a.m. by the 'fog ,horn of a ship
arriving for a cargo of salt.
The horn 9,f,4 the E. B. Barber
could be heard for several hours
as it approached the port through
a pea soup fog.
Many who heard the fog horn
believed the E. 13, Barber was
in distress, but the ship made
it into the harbor without`difficul.
