In last Friday's game with
Hanover, the Siiftos carne up
with their strongest perform-
ance of the year. nBrian Carrotli
was a standout offensively, .scor-
ing six goals. Jinn Parrish,
Wayne Doak and, Frank Hagan
each spored once.
Defensively, Don Fisher was
a tower of strength on the &Ito
bluel'ine. Working in Barrie
now, Don makes the tong trip
hoarse on Fridays, just tin time
to join the team. He proved
his valiad to the Siftos by gime
and again breaking up the Han-
over attack.

Allen Howes played his usual
steady game in the Sift* nets.
His job wan made easier by the
strong ibac'k•aheaking of the for-
wal,ds and the alert play of the
defence. a Brian Smith played
a, good game on the delfemee,
picking up three assists. •
Coach Doug Cru shank's
il•witphing of right wingers Toon
DeyelkLagokayne Doak seemed
to work to the bent of both
lines involved. Deyell got four
assists on the dine with Carroll
and Hagan, while Doak scared
once and worked. effectively

Friday's ,gaine was a marked
contrast to the game in Hanover
Tuesday. in that ane The Situs
played uninspiring hockey, and
let tthe Hurricanes Show what
offensive power they possess
when allowed to roam u:rncheck-
edinside their opponent's .lalue-
lin•e. Displaying .pin -point pass-
• ing and accurate shooting, Han-
over piled up six unanswered
goals in the second to clinch
the victory. Jim Bill led the
klanotrer attack with five (goals
and four assists.
Goderich goals were soared
by Den )is Lasaaline, Brian
° Broome, Torn. Deyeil alnd Brian
Phillips.
It was a dismal effort by the
Siftos, bust their ability . to ,
bounce hack and c z v,lhefan ,the
Hurricanree ,ni*lbts later
showed that, (when they want
to, the Siftos .can deliver the
goods. •
