Retires from DVA Position
Douglas Ross Nairn, chief of
legal services, department of
veterans affairs, Ottawa, will re-
tire on Nov. 10, after more
than 26 years of military and
government service.
ST. HELENS
Born *in Goderich, where he
received his primary education,
Mr. Nairn graduated from -Os-
goode Hall Law School in 1930,
and practised law in his home
town. A pre-war officer of the
Middlesex and Huron Regiment
(Militia). lie served in World
War II from 1940 to 1946 with
the Elgin Regiment in Canada,
don district, joining DVA's Lon-
don district office in 1949 as
district .Solicitor. He . was ap-
pointed a departmental solicitor
in 1949 and received his present
appointment in 1958.
A Presbyterian, Mr. Nairn is
a member of Lodge 33 AF and
AM (Goderich), the Vimy
Branch, Royal Canadian Legion,
